Formaform is an innovative synthetic molding clay that stands out for its versatility and uniqueness. It is melted in a water bath and is then immediately ready to be molded. By directly pouring the liquid molding agent onto a model, a finished form is created within 30 to 40 minutes, which must then be left to set for 1 to 2 hours before it can be used for molding.
Formaform is a cost-effective and universal alternative to silicone. One particular feature is that any failed form can be melted and used again for pouring a new form at any time. This process can be repeated up to six times, making Formaform especially economical. Forms made from Formaform are medium-hard and have good mechanical strength values, allowing parts to be cast in them from various materials such as ceramic casting materials, polyester and epoxy resins, wax, gypsum and cement.
Another advantage is the possibility of impregnating the forms with the accompanying Formaform Thermolene to make them heat- and water-resistant. This makes them reusable up to 10-20 times without losing their ability to be melted.
